Abstract
Se describen hidrogeles de silicona con altos niveles de poliamidas que presentan un excelente equilibrio de propiedades físicas, mecánicas y biológicas. Los hidrogeles de silicona se forman a partir de una mezcla monomérica reactiva que comprende: un monómero de hidroxialquil (met)acrilato; componentes de silicona que contienen hidroxilo; y una poliamida, en donde la poliamida está presente en una cantidad mayor que 15 por ciento en peso, basada en el peso total de los componentes reactivos en la mezcla monomérica reactiva.
