Abstract

Se proveen moléculas de ácidos nucleicos que confieren a una planta resistencia a las especies patogénicas Phytophthora. Estas moléculas de ácidos nucleicos pueden ser introducidas en plantas que de lo contrario son susceptibles a la infección de ciertas cepas de Phytophthora u otras especies de Phytophthora en orden a modificar la resistencia de la planta a este patógeno. Asimismo se proveen proteínas de resistencia codificadas por estas moléculas de ácidos nucleicos. Además se proveen métodos de preparación de moléculas de ácidos nucleicos que confieren resistencia a ciertos patógenos a una planta, moléculas de ácidos nucleicos preparadas a través de estos métodos, proteínas de resistencia codificadas en consecuencia y métodos de uso de estas moléculas de ácidos nucleicos para incrementar la resistencia de las plantas a patógenos.
