Abstract
La presente invención es una composición de polietileno de alta densidad, el método para producir la misma, los artículos moldeados por inyección hechos del mismo, y el método para realizar tales artículos. La composición de polietileno de alta densidad de la presente invención incluye un primer componente y un segundo componente. El primer componente es un copolímero de etileno de alfa-olefina de alto peso molecular que tiene una densidad en la gama de 0,920 a 0,946 h/cm3, y un índice de fusión (I21.6) en la gama de 1 a 15 g/10 minutos. El segundo componente es un polímero de etileno de bajo peso molecular que tiene una densidad en la gama de 0,965 a ,980 g/cm3, y un índice de fusión (I2) en la gama de 30 a 1500 g/10 minutos. La composición de polietileno de alta densidad tiene un índice de fusión (I2) de por lo menos 1, una densidad en la gama de 0,950 a 0,960 g/cm3. El método para producir una composición de polietileno de alta densidad incluye los siguientes pasos: (1) introducir etileno, y uno o más comonómeros de alfa olefina en un primer reactor; (2) (co)polimerizar el etileno en la presencia de uno o más comonómeros de alfa olefina en el primer reactor con lo cual se produce un primer componente, en donde el primer componente es un copolímero de etileno alfa-olefina de alto peso molecular que tiene una densidad en la gama de 0,920 a 0,946 g/cm3, y un índice de fusión (I21.6) en la gama de 1 a 15 g/10 minutos; (3) introducir el primer componente y el etileno adicional en un segundo reactor; (4) polimerizar el etileno adicional en el segundo reactor con lo cual produce un segundo componente, en donde el segundo componente que es un polímero de etileno de bajo peso molecular tiene una densidad en la gama de 0,965 a 0,980 g/cm3, y un índice de fusión (I2) en la gama de 30 de 1500 g/10 minutos; y (5) con lo cual se produce la composición de polietileno de alta densidad, en donde la composición de polietileno de alta densidad tiene un índice de fusión (I2) de por lo menos 1, una densidad en la gama de 0,950 a 0,960 g/cm3. La artículos moldeados por inyección según la presente invención comprenden la composición de polietileno de alta densidad inventiva arriba descripta y los artículos realizados vía el moldeo por inyección.
