Abstract
La presente se relaciona con un proceso para hidrogenar un aldehído. Un aldehído se contacta con un catalizador que comprende un soporte que contiene por lo menos 95% ?-alumina y metales sin soporte dispersados en la superficie del soporte. Los metales sin soporte comprenden níquel y/o uno o más compuestos de los mismos. El níquel y/o uno o más compuestos de los mismos comprenden desde 3% de peso 9% de eso del catalizador, por peso metálico, y el molibdeno y/o uno o más compuestos de los mismos, que compren 1% de peso del catalizador, por peso metálico.
