Abstract
Se proporcionan composiciones pesticidas que comprenden microcápsulas que contienen pirimifos-metilo y (1) por lo menos un aceite esencial vegetal seleccionado entre citronela, aceite de menta, d-limoneno y abeto siberiano (abies sibirica) o (2) por lo menos un solvente de hidrocarburos aromáticos (dentro de una pared encapsulante de material polimérico, tal como la poliurea), donde el pirimifos-metilo está presente en dicha composicion en una cantidad eficaz pesticida. La presente también proporciona un método para controlar pestes (tales como mosquitos y otros vectores de enfermedades) el cual comprende aplicar las composiciones a las pestes objetivo, a su locus o a una superficie o sustrato por cepillado, rodamiento, fumigacion, esparcido o inmersion. A modo de ejemplo, se contempla la aplicacion por FRI (fumigacion residual en interiores) de una superficie tal como una superficie de pared, techo o piso o el tratamiento de un sustrato tal como un mosquitero mediante el método anterior (micropartículas).
