Abstract

A modo de ejemplo, se contempla la aplicacion por FRI (fumigacion residual en interiores) de una superficie tal como una superficie de pared, techo o piso o el tratamiento de un sustrato tal como un mosquitero mediante el método anterior (micropartículas).Pesticide compositions are provided comprising microcapsules containing pyrimiphos-methyl and (1) at least one vegetable essential oil selected from citronella, peppermint oil, d-limonene and Siberian fir (abies sibirica) or (2) at least one solvent of aromatic hydrocarbons (within an encapsulating wall of polymeric material, such as polyurea), where the pyrimiphos-methyl is present in said composition in an effective pesticidal amount. This also provides a method of controlling pests (such as mosquitoes and other disease vectors) which comprises applying the compositions to the target pests, to their locus or to a surface or substrate by brushing, rolling, spraying, spreading or dipping. As an example, the application by FRI (residual indoor fumigation) of a surface such as a wall, ceiling or floor surface or the treatment of a substrate such as a mosquito net by the above method (microparticles) is contemplated.
