Abstract

Métodos y composiciones para modular el nivel de citoquininas del desarrollo de plantas. Secuencias de polinucleotidos y secuencias de aminoácidos que codifican polipéptidos de isopentenil transferasa (IPT) así como las secuencia de amino ácidos. Las secuencias se pueden utilizar en diversos métodos que incluyen modulacion del desarrollo radicular, modulacion del desarrollo floral, modulacion del desarrollo foliar y/o de brotes, modulacion de la senescencia, modulacion del desarrollo del tamano y/o peso de las semillas y modulacion de la tolerancia de plantas a un tipo de estrés abiotico. También se proveen polinucleotidos que comprenden un promotor IPT. El promotor se puede utilizar para regular la expresion de una secuencia de interés. Se proveen asimismo plantas, células y tejidos vegetales y semillas transformadas.
