Abstract

Regulación de la transcripción y/o expresión de polinucleótidos. En particular, secuencias reguladoras de polinucleótidos aisladas de Eucaliptus grandis y Pinus radiana que son capaces de conferir características de preferencia vascular a la transcripción de polinucleótidos en células vegetales. También se incluyen construcciones y métodos para usar las secuencias reguladoras para modificar la transcripción de polinucleótidos endógenos y/o heterólogos. Reivindicación 7: Una célula vegetal caracterizada porque comprende a) al menos una secuencia de polinucleótidos que tiene una secuencia que se selecciona entre cualquiera de SEQ ID N° 1-85; y b) un gen deseado, donde dicho polinucleótido y dicho gen deseado están unidos operativamente. Reivindicación 19: Un método para obtener madera caracterizado porque comprende a) introducir en una célula vegetal de una planta productora de madera una construcción de ADN que comprende (i) un promotor que tiene la secuencia de cualquiera de SEQ ID N° 1-85, o variantes funcionales de las mismas, y (ii) un ácido nucleico deseado, donde dicho promotor regula la expresión de dicho ácidos nucleicos; b) cultivar dicha célula vegetal transformada bajo condiciones que promuevan el crecimiento de una planta; y c) obtener madera de dicha planta.
