Abstract
La invencion incluye un proceso para preparar un polímero acoplado caracterizado por calentar una mezcla que contiene (1) por lo menos un polímero deetileno o mezcla de polímeros de etileno que tienen una densidad de por lo menos 0.89 g/ml y de un alfa olefina que tiene más de 2 y menos de 20 átomos decarbono por molécula y (2) una cantidad de acoplamiento de por lo menos una poli(sulfonil azida) a por lo menos la temperatura de descomposicion de lapoli(sulfonil azida) por un período suficientepara la descomposicion de por lo menos 80 por ciento en peso dela poli(sulfonil azida) y suficiente pararesultar en un polímero acoplado. La cantidad de poli(sulfonil azida) es de preferencia de 0.01 a 5 por ciento en peso de los polímeros en la mezcla. Lainvencion también incluye cualquier composicion que sea el producto de cualesquiera de los procesos de la invencion y artículos hechos a partir de estascomposiciones, particularmente cualquier película de cualquier composicion de la invencion.Adicionalmente la invencion incluye un uso de cualquier composicionde la invencion de un proceso de soplado, moldeado o calandreado de una película.
