Abstract

Un dispositivo de inspeccion optico montado en una máquina de fabricacion de cigarrillos o un dispositivo similar y que detecta la presencia de bandas quepresentan anchos o espaciamiento irregulares. En respuesta a la deteccion de bandasirregulares, el dispositivo de inspeccion optico instruye a la máquina defabricacion de cigarrillos de rechazar los cigarrillos que serán subsecuentemente realizados a partir de porciones de papel de cigarrillos que contienen lasbandas irregulares.El dispositiv o de inspeccion optico incluye un sensor el cual puede acomodar diferentes tipos de papel de cigarrillos y materiales de bandaque presentan propiedades reflectivas variables. Durante la operacion, el circuito sensor detecta el rango devoltaje produc ido por un detector de sensor, yformula un valor pico (o un valor pico promedio) para los rangos de voltaje. El circuito luego toma un porcentaje de este valor pico para formar un valorumbral. Este valor umbral es comparado con unasenal AC provenien te del detector de sensor. Si la senal AC excede el umbral, luego el circuito emite una senalpara indicar que está presente una banda. La salida del sensor es alimentada a una computadora. La computadora detecta si las bandasdetectadas por el sensor presentan espaciamientos y anchos de bandas regulares.
