Abstract

Se relaciona con un proceso para la producción de un polímero olefínico de bajo índice de polidispersidad en una polimerización en solución realizadaen presencia de un catalizador catiónico en un reactor que contiene una fase de hidrocarburol íquido hirviendo y un espacio de vapor por encima de dichafase. La polimerización se efectua en presencia de un agente no mecánico capaz de suprimir la formación de espuma durante dicha polimerización. Elagente puede ser elegido entre (a)una pulverización de hidrocarburo líquido introducida en el espacio de vapor del reactor; (b) una alimentación líquida deolefina u olefinas nuevas a una temperatura menor que la temperatura de la fase líquida y (c) un supresor químico de laespum a, por ejemplo, unpolioxialquilenglicol o una silicona.
