Abstract

Se refiere a un compuesto derivado del isoxazol definido por la fórmula (I) genérica o una sal de los mismos aceptables en la agricultura, en donde laletra R es un alquilo inferior, haloalquilo, alcoxialquilo, cicloalquilo, o alquenilo, cada unode los cuales se substituye opcionalmente; el símbolo R1 esun grupo alquilo inferior, haloalquilo o fenilo, opcionalmente substituidos, X e Y son cada uno independientemente un hidrógeno, hidroxilo, halógeno, ciano,alquilsulfenilo, alquilsulfinilo,alquilsulfonilo, aciloxi, carbamoiloxi, alcoxi, alcoxicarbonilo, alquilsulfoniloxi, amino, amino substituido,acilamino, sulfamoiloxi, sulfamilo, o X e Y pueden estas combinados para ser =O, -S(CH2)mS- y -O(CH2)mO- en los cuales m es 2 o 3,e l símbolo Ar es unaporción del anillo aromático opcionalmente substituido con uno a cuatro grupos y en donde dos substituyentes en posiciones adyacentes del anilloaromático pueden ser tomados o llevados junto con los dos átomos a loscuales los mismos están unidos, para formar un anillo con 5 a 7 elementosopcionalmente substituido, y la letra Z es -S-,-SO- o -SO2-, el cual exhibe actividad herbicida. Además se refiere a un proceso para su preparación, a unacomposiciónherbicida que comprende a dicho compuesto y a un método para controlar el crecimiento de malas hierbas mediante dicho compuesto.
