Abstract

Dupleks rustfiitt stål med utmerket gropkorrosjonsmotstand og sveisbarhet og spesielt et dupleks rustfritt stål som ikke danner små intermetalliske forbindelser selv i en sveisevarmepåvirket sone er tilveiebrakt. Det har en kjemisk sammensetning omfattende C: høyst 0,03 %, Si: høyst 1,0 %, Mn: høyst 1,5 %, P: høyst 0,040 %, S: heyst 0,008 %, Cr: 23,0 - 27,0 %,Mo: 2,0 - 4,0 %, Ni: 5,0 - 9,0 %, W: mer enn 1,5 % opptil 5,0 %, N: 0,24 - 0,35 %, og en rest av Fe og forurensninger, og som tilfredsstiller ligningene PREW = Cr + 3,3(Mo + 0,5W) + 16N er minst 40 Mo + 1, 1 Ni < 12,5 Mo-0,8 Ni <-1,6 hvori antallet av grove inklusjoner med den følgende definisjon iakttatt i et tverrsnitt er høyst 10 per mm^. Idet grove inklusjoner heri er definert som inklusjoner som inneholder minst 20 masse% av Al og som har en hoveddiameter på minst 5 mikrometer.
