Abstract
Una proteína que comprende una secuencia de aminoácidos representada por la SECUENCIA DE IDENTIFICACION NO. 1, en el Listado de Secuencia y que se origina MP52 humana y el dímero de esta proteína. Esta proteína dimérica puede ser obtenida por la construccion de un plásmido que contiene ADN, en el que un codon que codifica para la metionina es agregado al extremo 5' de la secuencia de ADN que codifica para la secuencia de aminoácidos mencionada en lo anterior, transformar Eschericha coli por este plásmido, incubando la E. coli transformante, solubilizar y purificar los cuerpos de inclusion obtenidos para dar una proteína monomérica y luego renaturalizar la proteína monomérica obtenida en el dímero, seguida por purificacion. Esta proteína dimérica es util en el tratamiento de enfermedades del cartílago y del hueso.
