Abstract

Un método para convertir uno o más alcanos en uno o más alquenos que incluye proporcionar una primera corriente que contenga uno o más alcanos y oxígeno a un reactor de deshidrogenación oxidativa; convertir al menos una porción del uno o más alcanos en uno o más alquenos en el reactor de deshidrogenación oxidativa para proporcionar una segunda corriente que salga del reactor de deshidrogenación oxidativa que contenga uno o más alcanos, uno o más alquenos y uno o más de oxígeno, carbono monóxido y acetileno; y proporcionar la segunda corriente a un segundo reactor que contenga un catalizador que incluya CuO y ZnO y hacer reaccionar la segunda corriente para proporcionar una tercera corriente que salga del segundo reactor que contenga uno o más alcanos, uno o más alquenos y niveles más bajos o indetectables de oxígeno y acetileno en comparación con la segunda corriente.
