Abstract
Una unidad reemplazable para un dispositivo electrofotográfico de formación de imágenes incluye un alojamiento que tiene un depósito para sostener el tóner. Un conector eléctrico se posiciona en un primer lado del alojamiento. El conector eléctrico incluye un contacto eléctrico para poner en contacto un contacto eléctrico correspondiente en el dispositivo de formación de imágenes. El contacto eléctrico de la unidad reemplazable se conecta eléctricamente a circuitería de procesamiento montada en el alojamiento. El conector eléctrico se puede mover entre una primera posición y una segunda posición. El contacto eléctrico de la unidad reemplazable se mueve hacia afuera desde el primer lado del alojamiento a lo largo de una dimensión de lado a lado del alojamiento cuando el conector eléctrico se mueve de la primera posición a la segunda posición. El contacto eléctrico de la unidad reemplazable se orienta hacia abajo cuando el conector eléctrico se encuentra en la segunda posición permitiendo que el contacto eléctrico correspondiente entre en contacto con el contacto eléctrico de la unidad reemplazable desde abajo.
