Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a medios y métodos de fermentación para producir polisacáridos en cultivos celular bacteriano. En un aspecto, la invención se refiere a un medio de cultivo complejo que comprende un hidrolisato vegetal, un extracto de levadura y una fuente de carbono. En otro aspecto, la invención se refiere a un medio definido que tiene una concentración total de aminoácido mayor de aproximadamente 50Mm. Otro aspecto de la invención se refiere al uso de métodos de lotes alimentados y fermentación por perfusión para cultivar bacteria que produce polisacárido.
