Abstract

Se proveen métodos para la producción de L-glufosinato (también conocido como fosfinotricina o ácido (S)-2-amino-4-(hidroxi(metil) fosfonoil)butanoico). Los métodos comprenden un proceso de dos etapas. La primera etapa comprende la desaminación oxidativa de D-glufosinato en PPO (ácido 2-oxo-4-(hidroxi(metil)fosfinoil)butír ico). La segunda etapa comprende la aminación específica de PPO en L-glufosinato, usando un grupo amina de uno o más donantes de aminas. Mediante la combinación de estas dos reacciones, la proporción de L-glufosinato en una mezcla de L-glufosinato y D-glufosinato puede ser incrementada sustancialmente.
