Abstract
Se describe un proceso para la producción de urea estabilizada con formaldehído que comprende los pasos de: (a) generar un gas de síntesis que comprenda hidrógeno, nitrógeno, monóxido de carbono, dióxido de carbono y vapor en una unidad para generación de gas de síntesis, (b) someter el gas de síntesis a una o más etapas de desplazamiento de agua-gas en uno o más reactores para desplazamiento de agua-gas para formar un gas desplazado; (c) recuperar el dióxido de carbono proveniente del gas desplazado en una unidad para eliminación de dióxido de carbono para formar un gas de síntesis con dióxido de carbono reducido; (d) sintetizar el metanol proveniente del gas de síntesis con dióxido de carbono reducido en una unidad para síntesis de metanol y recuperar el metanol y un gas de descarga para la síntesis de metanol que comprende nitrógeno, hidrógeno y monóxido de carbono residual; (e) someter al menos una porción del metanol recuperado a oxidación con aire en una unidad para la producción de formaldehído; (f) someter el gas de descarga para la síntesis de metanol a metanización en un reactor para metanización que contenga un catalizador para metanización para formar un gas para síntesis de amoniaco; (g) sintetizar el amoniaco proveniente del gas para síntesis de amoniaco en una unidad para producción de amoniaco y recuperar el amoniaco; (h) hacer reaccionar una porción del amoniaco y al menos una porción de la corriente de dióxido de carbono recuperado en una unidad para producción de urea para formar una corriente de urea; y (i) estabilizar la urea al mezclar la corriente de urea y un estabilizante preparado utilizando el formaldehído recuperado de la unidad para producción de formaldehído, en donde una porción del gas de síntesis generado por la unidad para generación de gas de síntesis se desvía a cualquiera de uno o más de los reactores para desplazamiento de agua-gas; la unidad para eliminación de dióxido de carbono; o uno o más de los reactores para desplazamiento de agua-gas y la unidad para eliminación de dióxido de carbono.
