Abstract
La presente invención proporciona moléculas resistentes a la disociación por proteasa que comprenden los polipéptidos efectores de la toxina Shiga capaces de exhibir potentes funciones de la toxina Shiga (por ejemplo, el encaminamiento subcelular y la citotoxicidad). La presente invención también proporciona moléculas resistentes a la disociación por proteasa dirigidas a las células para dirigirse a tipos específicos de células, por ejemplo, las células infectadas o malignas. Ciertas moléculas de la presente invención son citotóxicas, y ciertas moléculas dirigidas a las células de la presente invención se puede utilizar para la aniquilación dirigida de tipos específicos de células, y para el tratamiento de una variedad de enfermedades, trastornos y afecciones, incluyendo cánceres, tumores, anormalidades del crecimiento, trastornos inmunológicos e infecciones microbianas.
