Abstract
La presente invención proporciona métodos para aumentar la tolerancia a temperatura alta o estrés por calor en una planta, parte de planta o célula de planta, comprendiendo el método introducir uno o más ácidos nucleicos que codifican (i) una glutamina sintetasa 1;2 (GS1;2), (ii) una glutamato descarboxilasa 3 (GAD3), (iii) una glutamina aminotransferasa clase I (GAT1), (iv) un polipéptido MYB55 o cualquier combinación de los mismos en una planta, parte de planta o célula de planta. También se proporcionan métodos para aumentar el contenido de aminoácidos en una planta, parte de planta o célula de planta, comprendiendo el método introducir uno o más ácidos nucleicos que codifican (i) una GS1; 2, (ii) una GAD3, (iii) una GAT1, (iv) un polipéptido MYB55 o cualquier combinación de los mismos en una planta, parte de planta o célula de planta.
