Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para incrementar la relación CO a H2 de gas de síntesis. El método comprende pasar gas de síntesis sobre un primer rector (10) que contiene Cu a una primera temperatura efectiva para la reacción de CO2 dentro del gas de síntesis con el Cu para formar óxido de cobre y CO. La temperatura del gas de síntesis es entonces reducida a una segunda temperatura efectiva para la reacción de hidrógeno dentro del gas de síntesis con óxido de cobre para formar Cu y H2O. El gas de síntesis es entonces pasado sobre un segundo rector (12) que contiene óxido de cobre de manera que el H2 dentro del gas de síntesis reacciona con el óxido de cobre.
