Abstract
Se proporciona un sistema para detectar el contacto en una pantalla. El sistema comprende un medio plano asociado con la pantalla e incluye por lo menos una cara de borde y superficies opuestas. El sistema también incluye una o más fuentes ópticas acopladas operativamente a por lo menos una cara de borde para transmitir una señal óptica al medio plano tal que la señal óptica transmitida se refleja totalmente interna entre por lo menos una cara de borde y las superficies opuestas. Un dispositivo sensor óptico se coloca para hacer frente sustancialmente a por lo menos una parte de la cara de borde y se adapta para detectar por lo menos un objeto al entrar en contacto con una primera superficie de las superficies opuestas. El dispositivo sensor óptico es operativo para detectar una parte de la señal óptica emitida desde la primera superficie en una ubicación correspondiente al objeto que entra en contacto con la primera superficie.
