Abstract

Una a-amilasa maltogénica de la Trichoderma reesei (TrAA) y variantes de la misma en la presencia de una glucoamilasa son útiles en la producción de jarabes altos en glucosa del almidón licuado, en donde los jarabes altos en glucosa producidos así contienen por lo menos aproximadamente 97% de glucosa. En este proceso, la TrAA suprime ventajosamente la reversión de glucosa a maltooligosacaridos. También se proporcionan hospederos de expresión y ácido nucleicos de codificación útiles para producir TrAA y sus variantes.
