Abstract

Un proceso de sacarificación mejorada comprende usar una glucoamilasa y por lo menos una celulasa. El proceso de sacarificación mejorada produce rendimientos mejorados de los productos de las fermentaciones, tales como etanol. En una modalidad, el proceso de sacarificación mejorada produce un rendimiento incrementado de hasta 0.5 % a 1 % de etanol con el uso de celulasas disponibles comercialmente. Se proporciona, además, procesos de sacarificación y fermentación simultáneas (SSF) mejoradas, y composiciones que comprenden una suspensión de almidón liquidificado, una glucoamilasa y una celulasa.
