Abstract
Un método y aparato para ensamblar un producto complejo en un sistema de proceso paralelo en donde se provee una recopilación de componentes para ensamblar el producto complejo; la presente invención involucra transferir la recopilación de los componentes a una de una pluralidad de células de ensamble computarizadas similares a través del uso de un sistema de transporte; la recopilación de componentes es ensamblada de manera automática en el producto complejo a través del uso de las células de ensamble computarizadas; el producto complejo es entonces transferido desde una de las células de ensamble a una célula de prueba computarizada, en donde el producto complejo es probado para asegurar el funcionamiento y dimensionamiento apropiados del producto complejo; el producto complejo es después transferido desde la célula de prueba a través del sistema de transporte a una banda transportadora o área de rechazo de partes, en caso que el producto complejo esté defectuoso, o a un sistema de retorno de partes o carga de estiba automático, en caso que el producto complejo no esté defectuoso.
