I'll cut straight to the chase. I am here to give this manga the hate that it deserves because someone has to do it.

This story has 153 chapters. I've read all of them. Of these, around 60–70% of chapters are episodic filler content that does not advance the main story in any way, and that's being generous. The first half of the story has maybe 10 chapters at best that develop the plot in some way. If we ignore the filler chapters and focus on rating the main story exclusively, it's still cheeks.

Let me demonstrate what I mean. In the first few chapters, the premise of the story is established. You got Aoi, a young woman who lied to her family to track down a similarly aged guy, Kaoru, who she hasn't seen since she was a little girl but has religiously devoted herself to him for the past 18 years. Why? Who knows! All you get is that they were betrothed by their parents and that he's a nice guy, that's it. Anyway, shortly after, Aoi's mother urgently comes to retrieve her because apparently Kaoru is forbidden fruit for leaving his prestigious family for being abusive towards him, thus no longer making him heir. She firmly demanded Aoi return, but after staring into her daughter's eyes for a couple of panels, she was not only okay with her daughter seeing Kaoru, but she gave them a fucking mansion to live together in. Like what's even happening?

You would think that this will get explained later on, right? Nope, you're going to be waiting for a long time for the next plot advancing chapters to appear, and even then, a lot of questions still go unanswered.

Let's move on to the characters. One of my biggest pet peeves in Japanese media in general is the infantilization of adult characters, especially the female characters, where this phenomenon is most egregious. All the characters in the manga have the emotional temperament of literal toddlers. They're extremely agreeable to the point where it's annoying. They have no emotional restraint. They get upset over the little things and they get over them just as quick, and the characters have very one dimensional personalities. Kaoru has no personality outside of being too nice. The harem girls all follow cliche archetypes (the clumsy klutz, the tsundere, the rowdy foreigner, the loli, etc) and they all love Kaoru for all eternity because he was nice to them. The only character in the story that gets any actual character development is Tina, and even that's limited.

Also, most of the characters in this story are college aged adults, so why the hell do they have a literal babysitter? They literally have a grown woman who lives with them in the mansion that runs the house and their lives. This character, Miyabi, who's supposed to be mature, gets lobotomized as the story goes on and kind of becomes a part of the harem in the end. It's tragic, really.

These all seem like pretty big flaws, but fear not, as the author has devised an all cunning solution, boobs! Lots and lots of boobs! No plot? No character development? No problem! There's not a flaw in the writing that can't be fixed with a pair of puppies.

But here's the issue, the author is a mediocre artist. The art in this story is what I would classify as "below average," and the author clearly has no experience drawing nude women, so the boobs just end up looking off. That clearly didn't stop him, as every other chapter has full on or partial nudity. No female character is spared from the topless scenes, even the underaged high school girls... which I'm ngl made me feel quite uncomfortable.

The verdict? If you shut down your brain, and I mean really shut it down, it could be a cutesy story, but in reality? Man, go do something better with your life. This ain't it.
