Rating System:
10 - Masterpiece - It does the most good and manages to reach me at the core of my being, in whatever way it decides to do so. It does not have to be "perfect," as there is no such anime that exists, but extremely high quality is also a must.
9 - Great - An extremely well-executed anime, but occasionally misses the mark. Has something very special at its core and is still a definite must-watch.
8 - Very Good - An exceptional anime with a lot going for it, but also has some notable faults that may cause key moments to falter.
7 - Good - The anime on the whole is definitely good, but it has either several major factors that really start to bog down larger parts of the series, or dozens of continuous problems that are never addressed.
6 - Fine - Still a good anime on the whole, but there are several moments where I just didn't want to continue for one reason or another. It is worth your time, but there's a lot of negative to tread through as well.
5 - Average - The bare minimum of what an anime should strive for. It wavers constantly between being a "good" anime and a "bad" one.
4 - Bad - There are some noteworthy attempts to be good, but it ultimately fails at achieving something worthwhile.
3 - Very Bad - Through either a severe lack of ambition or talent, or through extremely unfortunate circumstances, this kind of anime fails on pretty much all levels. Perhaps there are a few bright spots, but nowhere near enough to redeem the rest of the trash.
2 - Horrible - Pretty much nothing in this anime is even remotely good. It is a complete and total waste of your time, either from being horribly executed or just really, really boring.
1 - Appalling - This rating is reserved for anime that aren't just utter failures in every area, but also manage to offend or piss me off to a noticeable degree. If there is even a single shred of anything good about this series, it is drowned out by elements that I am shocked even managed to make it into the series at all.

I find it unfair to rate something I haven't finished. As such, most of my ratings center on the 6-8 range because I don't feel the need to finish bad shows.

Just because it's on my Dropped List, doesn't mean it's there permanently. Enough good convincing may get me interested again.
