I always marvel at people who write walls of texts to each other. You wouldn't get that from me even if you put a gun to my head. That's way too much effort for someone who will eventually either ghost you or become inactive in the future.

I think the one thing I like the most about MAL is how it's okay to take a few days to respond to comments here, because that's actually the norm.

Unlike on places like Discord, where taking 24 hours to respond to comments is seen as someone ignoring you.

Whenever I have free time, I hop from profile to profile to find new people I can talk to. I avoid dead profiles, or those that are aggressively peacocking about being shounen fans. I usually limit myself to girls/women because they're the most drama free people out there.

I forgot to answer earlier so I'll just do it now.
I was never overly invested in Your Eternal Lies, I just read it because I got it from a manga roulette. The beginning was very annoying to read, the first ~20 chapters had a very bad translation (I pirated it so I don't know whether the official one is better). That aside the beginning was also quite slow and rather uninteresting.

Afterwards the story improved so it became readible I liked the backstory of the female lead, I think it was the best executed part of the story. In comparison the male lead feels somewhat underdeveloped but it's sufficient for the kind of story it wants to tell.

The art is fine for webtoon standards, I read some with worse artworks. I remain unimpressed however, as I'm in general not a big fan of webtoons and prefer the black and white panels of manga.

You could give it a try if you enjoy reading more mature romance stories leaning more towards a female demographic.
