Decided to give this one a shot after seeing such glowing reviews, but honestly I really have a hard time enjoying it. The premise is something that you're probably already familiar with from another series at this point, a boy tries to find that mysterious girl / potential lover from the past among several candidates who all seem equally likely to be the one, but by the end of the story only one of them (most likely) will win.
But the part that I hated the most is the protag. People praise Arisu like no end, so I did have high expectations to see what's he
...
all about, but this guy literally has no flaws whatsoever to the point it becomes boring, especially with how he acts like he's in some kind of comedic theatrical show all the time. I know the idea is to make him the “perfect man,” but at that point it feels like the author just wants someone who is unrealistically perfect for the readers to self-insert into.
And my god, he just won't shut up about being part of the Yamabuki family, like yes we know, you already said it a million times, do you need some kind of approval or something? Definitely one of the most annoying and pretentious MCs I've seen in a while. I'd probably be able to push through if this guy acted a little more like a normal human being.
The girls are generally alright with Iko being my favorite. And other than that I do like the art style, so that's that. Anyway I stopped reading after like 50+ chapters (possibly more), I just can't be bothered to check.
