Hey there you, thanks for the secret santa recs <3

I watched the first parts of them and I have some feedback: I loved both! <3 <3 <3 <3

I’ve seen parts of Princess Tutu before, well, that she’s in ballet. I kinda figured this was about a dance competition though, not a magic girl show ^7^ I actually thought it was more metaphorical, that she was going to be competing, sooooo that’s a liiiil different than expected, and it’s nice to put a story to a name ^^ <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Princess Jellyfish is the same name. I always mix this one up with the similar Ghibli film - to this day, it shocks me there are any major titles I haven’t gotten around to watching while I watch obscure ones all the time, so I’m really thrilled to see this one ^^ The plot is something else - truth be told, I did NOT expect this one to go where it has, even in the first episode ^^ I am savoring my feast here, so I still have dozens of episodes left of each, so these are my initial thoughts, and I feel I’ll basically maintain them as I go through, though they might update as the story progresses ; 3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Love, darling, <3

Arkathenia,
your Gift Getter <3 <3 <3 <3

Ugh, I am sorry to hear that, especially since I know that feeling a lot. I cannot complain. August was a stressful month, but I am keeping it together as much as possible. Once again, ugh, I hate humid weather so much; lately, the weather here has been slowly changing from winter to spring. There has been rain for a bit, but the days are starting to get warmer and warmer.

To be honest, I didn't like Evil Eye. I sympathized with his story, but the way it was so unreasonable and tried to kill everyone annoyed me a lot. However, little by little, he is growing on me. I love Jiji, though, he is really fun to watch. Something interesting that I read is that, apparently, the fandom hates every major character that debuts in the story. Aira seems to be the most hated main character, though I don't share it at all.
The rock band and the orchestra were such amazing moments; I was so eager to see them animated. I love the rock band scene so much, especially how much everyone was into it.
Indeed, the cliffhanger in season 2 was crazy as hell, especially when you remember Momo made the house explode with Aira inside hahaha. Season 3 is going to be epic. I remember everything that happened there, and it will be amazing. All in all, season 2 was good. I didn't like the opening or ending song, but those are just details in comparison with the rest of the soundtrack.
Same here, I don't have many anime in mind to watch during Fall 2025, unlike Summer, when I had five on Saturdays. And to be honest, the ones I am going to watch are more out of obligation than interest, like Spy x Family and My Hero Academia Final Season.
You liked Nowak? I mean, Jolenta turning out to be alive was something I celebrated, but for me, Nowak was the worst; I love the way he was read, that his efforts to eradicate science were going to be futile no matter what. I do agree, though, that the main characters were so compelling, I swear that the visuals of the five of them staring at the sky in the final opening song nearly killed me. It was a weird scene, to be honest, like, I would not be convinced Rafal survived, but I guess I will need to do my own research.
Absolutely, Reo was all for Nagi; I understand people's complaints about shipping characters, but those two weren't only friends. I read the author is all in to include LGBT characters in his stories, and that he left the relationship between those two ambiguous. If by the end of the manga, Reo and Nagi are living together, we know the answer. Season 3 was already added to MAL. I am eager to see how it will be; I hope the studio lives up to the manga art.
I agree, Sakamoto Days S2 was enjoyable until the end; I swear I want to add a character to my favorites, but I cannot decide between Nagumo, Osaragi, Shin, and Seba Mafuyu. Exactly, I understand the manga art is good, but if they can't be happy with how good the action sequences were, they won't ever be happy with future seasons.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to watch Medalist yet; I gave a try to other anime, such as Kowloon Generic Romance, which was splendid, Yami no Matsuei, and I am currently watching Nanbaka.

I personally feel that while it is always enjoyable to watch the main characters background and why the become the way they were, which is something I feel Lazarus did well, there the kiss between Chris and Axel felt a bit forced, also, the search for Skinner felt like forgotten at times; maybe if the anime was a bit longer, things would have been different. Like, just one season in which so many things are happening felt a bit convoluted in not a good way.

I am currently on the Mirror road, near the middle, but the difficulty escalated quite a lot, not to mention the 200cc. I am also busy at the moment, so I haven't been able to play as much. I haven't even been able to charge it, it's like 25%, but I don't have the energy hahaha.
I've been expanding my collection a little this past month, and while I am not planning to buy the Switch 2 yet, I am saving up some money. And then, Nintendo announced Super Mario Galaxy 2 for the Switch like it's nothing hahaha.
I completed my collection this year, hahaha; I have the main volumes, and I just need the databook. I am eager for the second season of Hells Paradise, but I only hope MAPPA puts the love the series deserves.

I think there are a lot of Sohma family members who aren't related, but there must still be some diluted blood on them. Like, very, very, very distant relatives. I don't think you are wrong, but I think in Japan, mainly in older times, marriage between cousins wasn't that strange, especially in long-lasting families such as the Sohmas.
I do feel Hiro had development, but I still feel he was too annoying and unnecessarily mean.
Don't worry about spoilers, I don't mind them at all; I finished the second season already, but I didn't feel it. I liked most of the characters, especially the ones we knew in the first season, but I just didn't feel any connection. I know the manga is finished, but the fandom says it went without pain or glory.

I enjoyed The Summer Hikaru Died so much! I feel so bad for Yoshiki; he is so traumatized, and things just keep getting worse for him. For me, the first episode was one of the best ones; it was a really strong beginning. The studio put a lot of effort into the series, especially with the scenes where they experimented with animation, such as the psychedelic scene where Yoshiki "fell" fake Hikaru inwards. The scene with Yoshiki, Tanaka, and the hamster was so good, hahaha, like, the only moment we saw Yoshiki finally being happy.
The second season is already happening, and I am excited to see what happens next.
As I mentioned above, Kowloon Generic Romance was a masterpiece; I enjoyed it so much. It had those vibes from older anime series, such as the first Hunter x Hunter. Not to mention how great the main characters were, and that wonderful opening song. Even though the manga is still ongoing, I am sure there won't ever be a second season, but I still loved this anime a lot.

I will always be salty about Hoshia no Sora. Ugh, just remembering it makes me angry hahaha. I hope the author just goes with a light novel or works with someone for a manga series.
I haven't watched Uzumaki yet, but I agree; we saw in detail in episode 1 how the anime could have been, and that is what sucks the most. Once again, I agree, hopefully one day we will receive a nice black and white anime, not necessarily horror, but maybe mystery.

No, this Tower of God spin-off is about Urek Mazino and his starting days as a regular.

Forgive me, but New Girl or Derry Girls? The two of them are shows, I watched a bit of New Girl when it was airing on TV, but I didn't finish it. Also, I don't know if it is on Netflix. I just looked it up, and Derry Girls isn't leaving Netflix. I got scared for a second since it is one of my remaining comfort shows hahaha.
You know, interestingly, while I wasn't the biggest fan of One Punch Man, I recall most of what happened, especially the main characters and important ones as well. I am still watching the third season out of curiosity, but I don't have anything in mind about what will happen, so let´s see.
Yeah, I remember the amount of hate the special received for not finishing the series. I mean, it was quite a popular anime. Don't get me wrong, but the feeling of wtf made me laugh because that is such a mood at times. I just checked, and while Wonder Egg Priority has a good mark, the special sequel sank. Ugh, I hate recaps as well. I am sorry it didn't finish things in a nice way, but who knows, maybe someday there will be a thrilling announcement.

I have watched some other anime produced by Satelight, and it is true, they can deliver; maybe they omit some chapters or certain scenes, but they can produce good anime series. Still, I will never forgive them for A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School.

Believe me, at this point, without looking for a single episode or scene of Nana on social media or YouTube, I know quite a lot about the story. Like, characters who died, who were the worst friends, characters everyone hates, age gap relationships, toxic relationships, a certain kitchen scene that caught me off guard for how sexual it was, a lot. If you want to talk about Nana, I am ready hahaha.

I hope you like it, I swear, Gintama is one of the most amazing anime series ever.
Now that I think about it, why was Nasse, the angel of the main character, distinct from the rest of them? Like, it was said she was created differently, as if she evolved into what she was and wasn't naturally an angel.
I just checked the Wiki page of Platinum End. Did the beings who created God appear in the final episode of the anime?
Yes, for some reason, Anyways, I am Falling in Love With You is receiving a second season. I swear, I cannot understand it. This anime was so bad and toxic! So many anime series deserve a second season, but this? The industry is weird.
I feel the future seasons of Oshi no Ko will be well received until the final episode ends, that's where everyone is saying how much they hated and how overrated it was. Let's enjoy what is coming; people won't ever be satisfied with anything.

I nearly forgot how dark the manga was; I don't understand why people dislike it. I feel it's the usual contrarians who need to go against the crowd. I mean, the plot twist that Takopii wanted to help Marina in the original timeline was crazy good. It made me remember how shocked I was when I read the manga for the first time. I like how in the end, Shizuka and Marina found common ground, became friends, and learned to rely on each other.
I completely understand. There should be a new genre to describe anime where kids are psychologically or physically pushed to the limit of angst, and Made in Abyss, Takopii's Original Sin, and Bokurano would perfectly fit in it.

Don't worry about it; I also took quite some time this month to reply because of how busy I was with work. I arrived at home just to eat, and in an instant, it was already nighttime. I can wait for your message, don't worry; I hope everything goes great for you with work and your studies C:
