To be fair I think that's most people's mentality. Arisa Komiya from Love Live being an example. She was in an Ultraman film in 2015, but after Sunshine in 2016 I never saw her again. Meanwhile, Ichimichi Mao is not just an anime seiyuu now, she's been back and forth in Tokusatsu, showing up in Ultraman (Trigger) and Sentai (Kyuranger) 6 years after her debut (Gokaiger) and then she's a cast member on that Sentai Red anime AND Sentai Daishikakku. Now that's not being embarrassed!

For Tokusatsu in general I'm only a Heisei dude, pretty much the same with anime. I've barely seen anything from the 90s backwards. The oldest Kamen Rider I saw is Shin Kamen Rider (the 1992 one, not the Hideaki Anno 2023 one). For Sentai it's Hurricaneger (2002), For Ultraman it's Tiga (1996) and for Garo, it's the very first, since the series is recent, having only started in 2005. which is fucking 20 years ago ahhhh

You could start with Gaoranger (2001) or Timeranger (2000) to match the era you started with Kuuga, but if you saw any power rangers before, I would suggest to start with the first or whichever was your favorite, find the sentai for that. The first one I saw is Wild Force, whose counterpart is Gaoranger lmao. But I haven't seen that yet

What I did is, I first started with Gokaiger (2011), which is stupid because I didn't understand most of the anniversary references but I jumped in happily because it's the sentai counterpart to Decade (2009). Then while the sequel, Go-Busters (2012, where Arisa Komiya debuted) was airing at the time I moved backwards until I reached Hurricanger in 2021. It's a mess lmao

But in 2009, to avoid the overlap, Toei purposefully made Decade with 10 less episodes so Double would air in September, that's why I said I watched Geats in 2022, even though technically it should be the 2023 rider. There's more after it, Gotchard, Gavv and Zeztz, but I didn't start those yet

My favorite scene in Kuuga

It all started on one hot summer day in April. I wasn't in the mood for anime or gaming, but I felt like doing something lol. Usually, each layout is only made at best 3 months in advance. For this year, having a Halloween one made in May and a Christmas one in April is record breaking lol. Speaking of Christmas, I took a look into the Christmas Oguri and wondered why the hype and I figured that too is beautiful enough to consider being a set or layout someday (heck we can actually do that). Or I can just request christmas oguri for secret santa 2025:


The impact apparently went all the way to URA, hydro said that the "feel" of it is definitely different compared to before. Right now I plan to get the sunny runner/happy hopper s requirement which requires me to keep grinding shuttle/matafaka until I reach that. I already did it with the other 3 team names so maybe in a few days

Ah yes the Runway/Runaway or whatever that is. Speaking of Suzuka, since my last 2 layouts were both green, this miku one and the halloween one. Silence Suzuka WAS supposed to be the next one however since I still didn't get her in game, I changed to NNN instead to both fit the month and that her red/green color scheme is a good segway for christmas so November 20/21 for that one

For now I'm mostly just enjoying the ease they gave, like Trials and Daily races running faster

I highly suggest Kuuga since they are kinda related. If you remember in the first 3 or so episodes they keep calling Agito #4, this is a reference to Kuuga. But that's it. You can go Ryuki if you want, Kuuga just has better plot imo
