I think you should rewatch kaguya-sama. I gave it 5/10 four years ago because I found it funny but thought it lacked substance. After watching all the episodes up there I can say it has a lot of substance regarding love, relationships, and hard work. In later seasons the story gets more serious and the characters go through some character development. You are smart and an experienced anime enjoyer, so I think you should try kaguya-sama again while being open-minded to the concept of love and relationships analyzing the characters - where their actions come from, why they do things one way not another, and why they think a certain way (except for Fujiwara, she's just a one-dimensional mascot and she is often annoying in my opinion, but I think if an anime can make you hate one character and relate to other it is a still great anime).

I believe you watched Kaguya with the intentions of "looking for mistakes" rather than just enjoying it. It's like you couldn't take the hype and love most of people was giving it, and you wanted to put it up to test, therefore, you ended up hating it. Because otherwise, your opinion would be different. I'm not saying you should love it, but there is no way in hell, someone with a good taste would believe that anime sucks, it's very enjoyable, at least a solid 7/10.
