I’m going to be honest here, I just loved the art yall like the action scenes with everyone interacting is godsend from the artists in MAPPA. Your brain gets literally turned off from the amount of shenanigans from episode to episode. Like I am glad to be back from the anime watching break after 2 years and this was one of the animes that was immediately shown so it’s something to look after the season 2 was a banger!
Unfortunately, this season (Part 1) didn’t live up to expectations—it felt really rushed. I honestly don’t get why they keep splitting TV series into parts; it’s frustrating
...
and feels unnecessary. A lot of the characters barely had time to shine—they’d show up, jump into a fight, lose, and then just disappear. Like… what was the point?
Takaba at least got some proper screen time and brought a lot of humor, which was great. But characters like Kirara, who had the potential for more depth, didn’t get any real development at all. It honestly felt like some characters were just thrown in for the sake of it, which is disappointing. Why include them if they’re not going to contribute meaningfully to the story?
I’m really hoping Part 2 delivers more in terms of both story and character development—they definitely need to step it up. Even Maki’s epic moment at the beginning felt way too short. And please, bring back her and Gojo-sensei—they were seriously missed 😭

Thanks Netgalley and publisher for giving this BL Recairnation manga .
It was quite disappointing read because I felt the whole story was quite disjointed and the ending was pretty unsatisfying to make up for the whole story, For 6 chapters, even though it was short enough there just wasn’t more to offer as a reader. Ngl, the art is stunning with the bois and the whole thing with our MC as a mermaid princess in his previous life was a good idea to create a mystery and it gave “The Little Mermaid” vibe around it., I would love to give my verdict on the
...
end but for the sake of the review, I want to make this review spoiler free so if you want to read it for yourself to understand what happened, I highly advise you to read this manga. But again, I wish this story was done better unfortunately…

I wanted to give this movie a go since it was mentioned on a web article on some site called "Animated films that are not for kids". Yeah I agree with that especially the scene where a circus performer girl on this was chopped in half. Even though it was disgusting, I was literally laughing my head off! Even as well, she was back to normal but seriously, it really does make you laugh at that kind of stuff!
It's too bad that this movie isn't in English. It would've been easier to understand as the viewer of what's happening. I was also disappointed that it
...
lacked voice actors to be involved in this. I just felt that the story was confusing and really dull. The only bits in this short I enjoyed were the water elephant in the desert and the impressive art around this movie. I mean, a better story line, involving voice actors and having the movie with English subs/dubs would've been more of a bonus in my opinion :/
Watched 16/10/2016 - my views have ultimately changed since then I can watch Japanese stuff now 😂😅

So I had this on my PTW list for a very long time because I have quite enjoyed weird wacky anime in the past and here we are! I thought the art was pretty much all over the place to screw with your brain and get ya to have a good amount of chuckles here and there. Like there had been scenes where it was over the top and you think to yourself how absurd it is lol. It was also an addictive watch even if it was slow to start but you’d still watch the whole thing no problem if you really wanna see
...
what happens throughout.
What was a turn off though while watching this anime film was the fact the ending wasn’t up to my standards of a “good ending” and the amount of unnecessary time skipping it added. Like I really wanted to see ML and the two girls at least be rescued and go about their day. All it was given was ML flying in the sky then cuts to Japan in everyday life. It’s as if they completely forgot the characters and just written them off already. Even though, glasses guy was sorta a interesting character that should’ve been expanded, we don’t really see what happens to the young trio and the old man (besides him on a boat relaxing but that was clearly about it). Another turn off from the anime was the fact that it was creepy at times like ML and the old men acted such pedos whenever the two girls were having a bath, going to the bathroom or change to skimpy outfits. Of course the rape attempt scene wasn’t really a help either like I just feel nearly all the men here were creeps except glasses guy. Honestly would rather glasses man as the lead and yes I know this was 2004 but I’m just being honest, not “woke”.
So yeah to summarise, ending wasn’t great, nearly all men characters were creeps and it’s an addictive watch if you like confusing OTT anime…..

I was pretty addicted to this BL story, it’s basically a high school drama that involves serious boi who is part of the school’s discipline committee who he comes across hot headed delinquent boi and pretty much tells him off (the usual “delinquent” look that’s not allowed in schools). Now the romance is slow and steady which is what I like mostly in BL because we get to know the characters a lot more and it is pretty adorable how the pair of them slowly liked each other despite the arguments lol.
As well, they pretty much went against 2 psycho bois in this which
...
honestly, I really think the author should’ve at least added a second couple into the story instead of the “crazy abuser ex and crazy wanting to reach the top of the test board student scenarios”. I just felt there didn’t need to be much enemies in this kind of story. Yes the lead is a delinquent after all, of course he’s gonna attract the wrong types but it should’ve been left out personally. Look at least the two bois lived happily ever after lol.
I also liked the Minwu character, I think he was really a sweetheart and hilarious how he was look out for Kang Hyeonbeom to not get involved with Ban Taehyeon, even tho he’s not THAT bad of a person lol. Although it was frickin frustrating that he kept staying with blondie abuser and just tell everything to Kang straight up!
Anyways the art was simple on the eyes so no complaints there, characters were a mix bag with potential improvements and story was pretty addictive enough that you can just read the whole thing in one go if you get the chance.

Thanks Netgalley and publisher for giving me a chance to explore more of author-sans other work! (My Dearest Self With Malice Aforethought is also good too!)
It’s pretty much dark enough with nearly everyone in this story who had tough lives living with an abusive parent. It just breaks your heart for the characters like it defo reflects on real life! The story is really well done and you do want to find out more about the cult mansion with Mickey Knox-lookalike (Natural Born Killers fans where you at lol) and who really was the murder suspect in this case?!
Definitely worth checking out this manga

if you love your horror and mystery!

It’s funny, I hardly ever like love triangles stories but since there was a 3some involved like twice in the story, literally was sank my teeth into this yall lol! I swear Moon Heeseop is weirdly boyfriend material who is literally a sweetheart stalky boi. I say that will probably piss some people off as it does come off as creepy with him stalking Jihan regarding his timetable or even when he’s free. However yeah again, people might find that very creepy but he was such a puppy dog that you literally can’t ignore his sweet nothings lol…
Now I will say, I really didn’t like
...
the other two that was all over Jihan. I find they were literally major assholes who don’t think of Jihans feelings and literally become forceful to him whenever they can’t get their way with him. I just felt Jinyeong and actor dude (can’t remember the name) should’ve been written off. As much as I liked the “threesome scenes” with Jinyeong, I really wish he could’ve liked Moon Heeseop as well and less rapey obviously.
The art is top tier, story would’ve been better without Jinyeong and actor bro and it is a pretty addictive read to waste time on!

I gotta say yall, this prequel was literally entertaining! It was funny and the pacing was really good like I didn't expect the length of a 5 chapter story to be that well done! Normally it would be rushed and disappointing but this is one of those mangas that literally draws you in with such hype. I really enjoyed Zol with his ninja reaper moves and goofy bounty hunter himself, Methuselah. I was so sad tho that Rena was killed when Zols master shot her while she was preggers 😭
Looking forward to reading the original series when I get the chance and see

At first, I thought both bois were adorable, especially since they were complete opposites at school. The art is lovely, and the close-ups of their faces were especially great 👌 I really liked how doting Yunjoon was toward Jiho, and Jiho constantly trying to push him away—it was just adorable, silly fun, even if some people might find it a bit creepy 😅
That said, the story started to feel boring whenever Jiho and Yunjoon argued. Their fights felt petty, and they kept repeating all the way to the end. I understand that Jiho was a minor in a toxic teacher-student relationship, and that the classmate’s
...
brother (Eunjoung’s brother—I might be spelling her name wrong) being a rapist made parts of the story really hard to read. I ended up skipping a few chapters just to get to the part where Yunjoon beat him up, lol.
I also wish the author had created more likeable side characters, since most of them were honestly awful toward the main leads. It’s a shame the boys’ classmate didn’t get more screen time—she’s awful too, but she had potential as a character.
I really think the story would’ve worked better at around 40 chapters instead of 52; it felt like more than enough for what was being told. A slower-paced relationship between the boys would’ve been ideal. I also found the personality swap near the end unnecessary—I would’ve preferred Jiho to stay an oddball tsundere and Yunjoon to remain a doting puppy dog.

So I had this aeni in my watch list for a long long long time until 3am in the morning today….stupid I know but the episodes were only 5 mins so I knew it was gonna be a quickie one anyway for me to go to sleep like a baby. Anyways enough blabbering, this was my first ever Korean anime that I ever encountered like I haven’t seen a doctor x boxer BL from reading manhwa before so it was nice that it was different. I really liked the background of each scene, it was like coming from a city pop universe that you just
...
want to get lost in and the jazzy music was nice, although it was quite forgettable unfortunately. Unless you were coming here to hear a banger memorable soundtrack, you’d be rather disappointed..
Mignon and the doc were pretty adorable together, I liked the “opposite attracts” side of things with the doc being a reserved vampire and Mignon being a clingy puppy dog. Spicy scenes were 👌 though. However the art style was rather meh looking on them, I felt the artists were rather too vigorous with their sizes like they just didn’t looked flattering tbh. I think the cover can really fool you a bit as you’d think the whole animation looked like that in all eps unless you see the close ups during the last episode but yeah the art was rather disappointing from the art department here unfortunately… I also wish they weren’t such weak characters like I don’t understand why the pair didn’t woop any bad guy azz and only relied on Master Woo to woop bad guy azz!
I also didn’t like how they made the side characters pretty undeveloped, I would’ve liked if they given the coach more character rather than just “an old man physically abusing Mignon and running off with the money once he was done with him”, I just felt it was rather ignored in the end. Like was the coach caught? Did he live in paradise after running away from his crimes? I had so many questions lads, they just were left unanswered! Super annoying!
So to conclude and recap, the whole thing is not picture perfect like you’d sometimes see in some manhwas. I felt the whole thing was obviously rather rushed with not much thought into the whole character side of things. Art was mediocre at times but the background settings were better than the look of the characters tbh. The two bois were wholesome together even though they had unnecessary arguments which yeah why? Again there’s quite a few room for improvements but it’s good to waste time on and the spicy scenes would be waiting for ya at the last episode with fuzziness in your heartstrings. I’m giving my first Korean anime here a 6/10..
