A lot of people want the stories to stay shallow & cute/comedic & I think that this is why they don't like the new version of this anime. For example, just look at the hate that this season's
"A Star Brighter Than The Sun" got over the last episode going deep into the heroine's emotional struggle. Some people even claimed that a Shoujo anime should have no room for drama.
I mean, there's an abundance of cutesy animes out there for anyone who loves them, so if that's all someone wants to watch, then they already have it. But, to think that a certain genre can't represent any deeper topics is absolutely crazy.

Honestly, I have no idea what do people dislike about Trigun Stampede. It's Obviously an upgrade on all accords & the music is absolutely very beautiful. I studied literature, art & music criticism, and believe me, I will have a lot of opinions on so many animes that are different from their popular ratings. I usually leave initial ideas in the tags section of my anime list.

Thank you so much! Somehow I like the villains XD. I just can see behind the evil façade that they do. I basically don't believe that anyone is born evil & I don't think that we, as humans should lose hope on each other doing better so fast. That's why I always remind people of the children that the "villains" in MHA were.
