Hello and Welcome to My Anime List Page! I'm a massive animation enthusiast, so you'll definitely see a wide range of anime/manga content from different genres and decades. Usually I either discover anime on accident or choose a random selection whenever I want.
Although I enjoy the aesthetics of older anime (almost anything before 2004), I believe each decade in anime has its own merit, beauty and/or enjoyment. In fact there is alway a hidden gem in this vast sea of animation.
Just a little disclaimer: My grading system is a bit different and I'm not sure if other people do it too. In my completed page, even if there is an anime listed between 5-2, I still had enjoyed it to an extend. With any media I actively despise or simply just gave up on, I usually drop and only grade between a low 5-0. Otherwise my listing is more out of personal preferences, but I admittely wish the site had a option to grad out of 100,cause it is way to much nuance I cannot go over with each grade.

My whole profile is a work in progress so I get it, these things do take time after all. I'll definitely be sure to look through your profile when I get the chance to. Oh I see, did you manage to watch those anime that you mentioned? Gurren Lagann and a Certain Magical Index.
The same goes for me if you ever need some recommendations for Newer anime then I'd be down to share them with you also.
