Note: Most sources cite Hajime no Ippo as being apart of this list, however, during Hajime no Ippo's peak (8.93), this anime was actually a good bit ahead of it (8.97). I assume this is the case because during the early age of MAL, it seperated each type into it's own ranking (ex: TV, Movie, ONA) and did not have an overall list like we have today. Because of that, whatever bot they're using to get their data is only including data from the Top TV Series ranking, and not the rest.

Note: Only held the score for an hour at most and was quickly scored back down to an average score of 7.70. The reason it held the #1 spot was probably due to the only scores at the time being from fans of the series, as there were very few members at the time.
