Synopsis

In the Forest of Scraps, a place where all manner of things are discarded, an old dragon sleeps away his final days—that is, until an abandoned child suddenly appears before him. The tiny human is Eve, and despite being only five years of age, she has somehow endured the many dangers that surround them. In an act of pity, the dragon decides to raise her as his own...but his time is still running out.

After five years together, he takes his last breath, leaving his precious daughter on her own. Little does the dragon know, Eve is capable of more than he realizes, and their reunion may be sooner than he thinks...

Hoping to improve Eve's control over her magical abilities before his resurrected body gives out, the skull dragon sets out on an adventure with his reckless human daughter—but who knows what kind of trouble awaits them?

Story

Its soft, lovely and heartwarming feeling that i get after reading each chapter.. There is no big goal like defeating demon lord, just a girl trying to adapt their new life at society.
There is battle too, each fight is interesting with unique strategy and idea of somehow overpowered little girl and her weakened dragon papa fighting supposedly stronger enemy. Please read

wholesome found family story with entertaining characters and a beautiful artstyle

The story is mostly light-hearted and funny, with sprinkles of serious themes (although never too depressing or violent). Note that the manga is still ongoing and has started fairly recently though, so both plot and tone of the story might change in the future.
So far most plotlines aren't exactly mindblowing, but I do sense potential for a greater story, and there has been some foreshadowing for future events.

What I like most about this manga are the characters. Not only is the relationship between Eve and the Dragon greatly heartwarming, the main / supporting ...

This manga was recommended to me by a non-fan of anime and a miracle happened – I even liked this manga, because it is quite non-standard and adequate.

First of all, the author doesn't coddle the viewer – the main character Eva suffers in the first chapter when she is thrown out of human society into an ancient forest – apparently just because she has an uncontrollable magical gift. However, it also seems to have protected her from being smashed to smithereens falling from a great height into the ancient forest, where people dump all sorts of junk, polluting and poisoning nature. However, in fact, Eve ... is saved from imminent death by an ancient dragon, who took pity on the human girl, cured her and raised her as his adopted daughter, who, in addition, has the gift of magic. So yes – Eva is also a sorceress, or rather a witch.

Eva named the dragon who saved her Sleepy (because he sleeps for a long time) and she lived with him for a while. But Sleepy does die one morning of old age. Eva, very upset by her friend's death, revives him in the form of a dragon skeleton – even though the girl has discovered the gift of magical superpower, she doesn't control it well, so the dragon is not fully revived.

Sleepy insists that Eve must live among humans, and forces her to go to the city of humans to start living there. Sleepy himself went with Eve to see to it that she could find her place in human society.

Once in the city of humans, Eva gets the support of the young deputy owner of the inn, a dark and creepy type named Yul, who only cares about maximizing profits. Nevertheless, he offers Eva to live in the hotel with the payment of accommodation in money, and then helps her to open a «bureau of services from the witch», the essence of which is simple – Eva for money helps the inhabitants of the city in solving problems that she can – whether it is the exorcism of ordinary spiders or removing a cat from a tree. Yul himself for helping Eva receives from her a «mediator's percentage» in the form of a monetary reward of the amount of the order.

Secondly, despite the fact that Eva is obviously a Mary Sue, unlike the dumb, untalented Sue from the most hated anime setting I've ever seen, Eva's magical superpower is at least somewhat justified – Sleepy taught Eva for several years everything he could teach her and most likely was able to develop her magical talent – as evidenced by the fact that the dragon knows about magic staffs and magic crystals, as well as how to use them.

Eva's characteristic, as opposed to other anime heroes, is that she tries to resolve conflicts peacefully by not killing her opponents, even if they are unintelligent beasts or monsters. Her adopted dragon, «Daddy» Sleepy, acts as sparingly as possible, and is even convinced that «powerful creatures should be careful not to harm the weaker ones».

I'm very happy about the lack of fanservice in this manga, especially aggressive fanservice – Eva is wearing shorts and a long skirt, so there are no fanservice angles from below and no shaking of the mini-skirt.

The manga, « The Skull Dragon's Precious Daughter », is not yet finished – about twelve chapters have been released so far. Nevertheless, it can be seen that this manga is better than 90% of the shoddy manga and anime with as predictable a plot as possible.

However, some plot twists in the first ten chapters of «The Skull Dragon's Precious Daughter» are tense. First of all, the hint of a prophecy that has arisen in the plot that Eva is bound to become «the greatest witch in the world» – an arch-witch. Perhaps this title in the «Skull Dragon's Precious Daughter» LORE doesn't mean «greatest», but so far there's no explanation of this status in the story.

It would be nice if Eve didn't become «greatest witch» after all – it's too hackneyed and as clichéd as possible. And Eve's unbelievable progress in the use of magic for ten volumes after the resurrection of Sleepy – also strains, reminiscent of a standard plot for the beginning of the next template storyline about «fighting invincible super-monsters», which according to the LORE – invincible, but the main character Mary / Marty Sue will kill them with one kick (or hypocritical «power of friendship», which is essentially the same thing). If the «Skull Dragon's Precious Daughter » plot goes in that direction, it will be very sad.

I'd also like to see the human Yul, Eve's sudden sidekick, become the official super-villain of the setting at the end, try to disembowel and sell Sleepy «for organs», and enslave Eve and make her his handmaiden witch-slave. It would be quite an original, unexpected plot twist, the more so because Yul is a character who only cares about money, even though he tries to show that it's «not so» (but at the same time, for example, steals scales from a dragon). Well, the fight between Sleepy and Eva against their former longtime ally Yul, who has logically become super-evil, would look good as the final arc of the setting.

At this point, I would give this manga an 8 out of 10, but the grade is not final and may go down depending on the further development of the manga's plot. By the way, a film adaptation of this manga is being prepared and I hope the creators of the adaptation will accurately bring the manga's plot to the screen, without any of the nonsense, nonsense, and fillers.
