| There's a reason as to why Marina bullies Shizuka. Is it justified? No but Marina thinks everything's Shizuka's and her moms fault. Poor Takoppi is so pure.. and he keeps trying to find a solution but this outcome seems real messy.. |

| I have mixed feelings about my own reaction. On one hand, I'm really glad Marina was dealt with. She was an absolutely awful person. But on the other, I know she was struggling with her home life too, so it doesn't entirely sit well with me to be so happy she's gone. I'm hoping the show brings forward some of her story, so the audience can empathize more. |

| Marina was one persistent little girl with Takopi's time traveling not deterring her plan of getting Chappy taken away. I understand why though, her parents choices held an immense negative impact on her. Which makes Marina's behavior the prime example of hurt people hurting other people. Well now Takopi accidentally killing her has crossed a serious line that he can't come back from. The camera being busted and Shizuka's joy at this development only makes this feel more like a punch in the gut for me. The future of our two MCs just got even more uneasy. |
| I have conflicting feelings about the characters in this series and the whole conflict up to this point, because were I in a similar situation to Marina, I could see myself acting out in a similar way and bullying someone at school to take out my frustrations - especially and even more the case if I saw them in any way even loosely and tangentially connected to and by proxy even the tiniest bit "responsible" for any of my woes and hardship. But were I Shizuka (or if Shizuka was someone I loved and cared for deeply like a close friend or little sister), I certainly would be infuriated and livid, believe I wouldn't tolerate such treatment for a second, would fight back, and absolutely want the person responsible, my tormentor or would-be tormentor (i.e. Marina) dead, and wouldn't rule out trying to kill or at least seriously injure and grievously harm or in any other way take revenge and further harm and destroy their life either. So basically, both characters are understandable and sympathetic and neither really in the wrong from my perspective. I mean, I can typically understand - or believe I can, the thought process of characters even in series and situations where I can't personally sympathize and do consider them in the wrong for their choices and behavior, but here it's more mixed and I can't really condemn anybody. It's just a lot of suffering that neither (of the two main girls) actually deserve. Not that people usually get what they deserve in practice either way, good or bad. And Marina's gang of followers, young girls or anyone really following a charismatic bully around - they're basically just like lemmings and zombies. White noise and total non-entities not really worth commenting on beyond that. There'll always be people like that. If a brain-damaged frothing at the mouth lunatic claiming to receive visions from God gave a speech and started a little movement instructing everyone to gouge out their eyes with a rusty spoon and let spider monkeys defecate into their mutilated eye sockets, eventually there'd be a gaggle of followers for it. Invent any incoherent idea conceivable and the same applies. You can get most people to follow others mindlessly in certain situations once the conditions are right just like ants and bees controlled with the right chemical signals. But yeah, cannot blame either of our two human leads (can't say two protagonists as I suppose that Marina, at this stage anyway, is the villain or antagonist and the alien Takopii the deuteragonist or maybe he's the main protagonist?). They're both links in a chain reaction. |
| I didn't see that coming. Speaking of POS adults, what about the teacher? There's no way she hasn't noticed what has been carved into Shizuka's desk, but gives strong, "Not my problem" vibes. |
