I guess people said dumb shit like this back in the 80s and 90s too. It is mildly sad that the era is changing and forever series that go over 500 chapters don't happen anymore but with market fragmentation and whatnot that's just not how it works anymore. I'm sure SJ will figure it out. Its not like indie publishing or Marvel or whatever are threatening to tear it down.

Next "big things" aka hit manga will emerge. It's been like this for decades. Older hits reach their final chapters, new hits begin to be serialized. It ain't anything unusual.

Hmm, I grew up on Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece. Others had Dragon Ball. There will always be other series to take the reins. 'sides, One Piece has years left to go.

It will never be finished unless the anime industry dies down or sum.

If they didn't die when Dragon Ball ended (Completely unannounced, besides Toriyama just saying "There's going to be a special announcement next chapter"), then it won't die just because a few hit titles today reach their completion.

Also...

...we have yet to see what will replace them...

Not really? If you actually read Jump regularly, you'd know the next immediate titles set out to replace them are Kagurabachi and Ichi the Witch. Someone Hertz in terms of romance manga to replace Blue Box when that one ends.
It also already has a bunch of sort of midcarders ready to replace the current ones (Sakamoto Days, Undead Unluck which has ended already) in Shinobi Undercover and maybe that Exorcist Kiyoshi manga thing.

It'll be very interesting to see what happens once One Piece ends though.

No. It's just an era that is ending. Shonen Jump as a magazine isn't going away anytime soon.

We're gonna have a new generation upon us, just like last time when Naruto and Bleach ended.
If I had to choose between One Piece and a girlfriend...I think I'll go with One Piece
