Worst ending of all time

After giving such a peak backstory and a goal set infront...what did this anime do
I cannot believe that they would be happy to end this anime like this after giving it such a high note..I had very low expectations from the anime but once I got into the show it raised my expectations and impressed me a lot.. however the ending just left me frustrated
It feels bad to see that such a high potential was led to a waste. The premise was fresh and the characters were written well too
The show could have gone much further with the substance it had..We could have easily seen one more season
I just can't belive that a writer will be content with such a thwart ending

I still like the show but it was a shame it ended the way it did

basically just watch till episode 7-8 and drop the fuck out of it. just think that it had a great ending but you never watched the later episodes. Schrodinger's ending.

I think they just decided to do easiest thing possible so they could move on to other projects. after this the studio had My Dress Up Darling and other stuff lined up. was such a disappointment. the worst ending to anything I have ever seen

It had such great potential, but the last like three episodes screwed everything up.

Not to mention the special episode... we do not talk about the special episode...

I’m gonna be honest I completely forgot how the show ended but even if it’s bad I still really enjoyed the rest of the show so I still think of this show I’m a generally high regard

I forgot how it ends, but I remember it left a lot of questions unanswered. Everyone watched then the special episode hoping it would answer those questions, but it didn't really.

yeah it was a very unique and interesting show that i liked in the beginning, but it just took a weird direction and had a pretty bad ending. wasted potentiel

The worst part for me was the special episode, which was supposed to give more depth and explanation to the end of the anime (which was already really bad), and managed to be even worse 😭

Agreed. Instead of wrapping up loose ends in the special episode instead it introduced a bunch of new mechanics, revealed an extremely important secret of a main character... perhaps they were hoping to inspire interest in a second season? But it was so disconnected from everything we'd seen so far, honestly it seemed like the director lost their mind and the team just said "Well alright I did my part here you go" and the resulting mess was just an amalgam of confusion. It's not like the ending wasn't how the viewers wanted or that it was low quality, it was just totally unhinged from viewer expectations. After waiting several months for closure, we got anything but.
