| Yeah that's the problem many had with Nisemonogatari. It kinda messed up Araragi's character. It gets toned down to bake level like strider98 said. And the annoying sisters don't show up that much again. |
| I don't ask such questions, I love any amount of fanservice, I'm a fan and this is fanservice, why shouldn't I? I love Fire Sisters, my favorite characters and waifus, and I like Araragi's pervertness, he's a man and a role model for many proud perverts such as myself. And yes, he remains a huge pervert in later series, Lolikawa, Hachikuji and Ononoki would agree with that the same as Fire Sisters. Monogatari IS a story about a certain pervert so telling that too much fanservice just takes a lot away from the story in Monogatari's case is just contradicting yourself. Monogatari is based mostly on a perverted fanservice, at least there is enough pervertedness and fanservice to attract people interested in it. People change, and maybe sometimes people did not actually change. Maybe you just never knew who they really were. And Bake didn't have Fire Sisters so we couldn't see Koyomi and his sisters relationships, and knowing Gahara it's understandable he wouldn't tell her that he's siscon. Later he eventually became more open about it naturally after he and his harem got to know each other better. Bake doesn't reveal a lot of stuff itself, so one can't say Bake is a reference, one shouldn't judge Koyomi only by the first season. There is character developmend after all, and who said it must be only one way positive, people change not always for the better and it's normal. |
