It's our lord and savior Kanye West, what more can I say?

This was a collaboration project for the 2007 Hip-Hop album, Graduation, by the highly-acclaimed controversial rapper before he became a "God," and Takashi Murakami, a well respected contemporary artist from Japan. "Good Morning" was the tune that kicked off the album, aided by Murakami's visual insight, the music video became something of an audiovisual tour-guided introduction for all those getting ready to plunge further in.

Through the use of cel-shaded animation, Murakami was able to bring the album cover and artwork of Graduation to life, with a visual rhythm and style that complemented the ... MC's lyrical drawl. It's simply Kanye being honest, delivering his spit-fire braggadocios lyrics and passive-aggressive proclamation as a rap icon, before he took a turn in his career in the later years, where he spiraled down into an endless cycle of narcissism. Sampling Elton John's "Someone Saved My Life Tonight" and containing a stripped-down 808s beat, Kanye guides us through a short segment of his life as an anthropomorphic bear while highlighting every bar with his signature wordplay and catchy flow. Hip-Hop purists will surely enjoy the song if they haven't already tried it out.

Of course, Kanye isn't the 1st to collaborate with anime creators, Daft Punk's 2001 album, Discovery, was turned into a full-length film collaboration between Toei Animation and Leiji Matsumoto. If you're a fan of Daft Punk, I highly suggest checking that out as well. There's even an alternative music video for Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody that was animated with Japanese partnership.

Of course, music is highly subjective, and if you're not a fan of Hip-Hop, this might not register with you, but seeing that it's only 3-minutes in length, I think it's worth giving a listen... also it's Kanye "MUTHAFUCKIN" West, you OWE it to yourself to listen to our LORD and SAVIOR. Praise be to Yeezy!

Personally after experiencing Kanye West's "Good Morning" I have ascended past petty omnipotence, so please join me; wake the fuck up you stupid bitch.
I could straight up go against this fucking bear and win barehanded. Originally I had thought " shut the fuck up bitch your life is already ruined" but no I revoke my uneducated opinion. I've grown so much as a person from this masterpiece. Contribute to society? No, fuck you, who's going to stop ... me? Takashi Murakami, the renowned Japanese Pop Artist forever famous for his ultra-sheik take on fashion and commercialism, launches his career even further with his continuing efforts advancing superflat art like a bear out of a cannon. One of the oddest pairs in recent pop history, I present to you the very strange Kanye West and Takashi Murakami!

That's right! The iconic cover to the 2007 double-platinum album sung by rapper Kanye Omari West was designed by Takashi Murakami (also responsible for bringing the current Louis Vuitton branding fashion to the mainstream). The reason this matters is because the video itself is a fleshed out version of ... the cover art. It follows the depicted bear (Kanye) on his graduation day in "Universe City."

The visuals are insane. A single image of this looks weird enough, but to bring the art to a constant level is just bizarre. A real flight of fantasy, Good Morning starts on a small scale and the quickly builds up a pace that ends in a nonsensical bang. The contrasting nature of realism in the songs lyrics against the very unreal presentation of the video make for a very fun and smart watch. Notice the small ironies here and there - the bear graduates from "Dropout University" among other things. It's short, wild, nonsensical and yeah it's not J-Pop. So what? It's a three minute romp through the mind of two very different artists.

Even if you don't like rap music I encourage this anime. Kanye's Graduation album is very much unlike the rap music of Tupac and 50 Cent that you may be familiar with - it uses a lot of electronic synthesizers and focuses a lot more on introspective topics than "gettin' down wit da bitches in da club" and "rottin me yellow (yuno what it is)." Good Morning might come as a surprise to you like it did for me, and who can resist modernist Japanese art anyways? There's no way you can lose out on this one.

but this song is a lyrically subliminally masterpiece, like the line 'good morning' just hits different and the large tittedness of the characters also hits different.
And all of this is thanks to Kanye's and Takashi Murakami's excellent representation of the world through the animalistic characters show wearing drip and kanyes bars being spat.

Some of Kanye's best work on a music video. Kanye takes an amazing song and intro to arguably his best album and turns it into a fun and enjoyable video. Graduation is about art and showing different art styles with a common base of Hip-Hop and this video is a great representation of that. Great work Mr. West. I can't stress enough how this video sets the tone for an amazing album and work of art. Sure, the animation is a bit sluggish and that holds the video back, but Kanye's voice and sampling in the song make for a great track. The Jay-Z sample ... in the background creates a constant activity in the song that makes it alive and moving. The character development is done well in this short video. You can really see the connection the bear and Mr. West have and it represents Kanye well. Overall, the is amazing. The sluggish animation, although a bit annoying, creates a bubble of nostalgia. While the song is an incredible gateway to an incredible album.

Good Morning, The type of music that defines prime Kanye West.
Good Morning follows the adventures of the Graduation Bear trying to attend his college graduation is universe city, however there are a plethora of different obstacles in his way to glory.
The Graduation Bear overcomes this however and attends his graduation where his graduation proceeds to take place and it is followed by some trippy visuals with him driving off with other characters that attended the same graduation celebration.
The music in this song is not Ye's finest work however that does not mean it is bad, it is a very good song to go along with ... this music video and one of the best opening tracks to an album ever heard.
The art is astounding as it is done by Takashi Murakami a very popular Japanese artist and made the design for the Graduation Bear/Dropout Bear which has evolved since The College Dropout Album from 2004 and Late Registration from 2005 which in my opinion is a good thing as the original designs were just costumes from Ye's old college (which he dropped out of)

Story
A little hard to grasp content song had on art at first. Most likely because of the word choices. Than again rap is never truly simple. Once you realize it is about the struggle of embracing the outside world it makes a lot of scene. Fresh out of high school you want to succeed but you don't know where. You dream and dream. As you dream you take classes after classes to learn what you can. All of which is your struggle to getting to that answer. In simple terms, video is about never giving up. Unfortunately, ... while they depicted the story in a dream like fashion to express your dreams it wasn't that clear but more symbolical. In doing so I imagine those who could not think outside of the box were lost to the point of the video. What could have been done instead would have been less outside of the box artwork and more direct pieces instead. An example of some viewers being lost from the outside of the box line of thinking is for example the main character being a bear. Sure it would be easier to understand if he was human but the artist wanted you to 'bare(bear)' in mind struggles that faced you.

I was bored so I figured I would check out a music video, and then I found this. Kanye West has risen in a mixture of fame and infamy and has become a icon in modern hip hop. So while I was watching this music video and I noticed that the story was clear at the beginning and it seemed interesting, but then all of these random animations and creatures just bust in and kind of muddle the story. Another thing is that the music melded with the animation averagely and the song itself wasn't that impressive either. However something that I really liked about ... this video was the animation, it is visually appealing and makes accurate and good use of CGI with extra polish added on. Characters were virtually nonexistent with very little development or detail put into them. In conclusion I enjoyed this video even though it's song belongs to a musical genre I don't normally like. Though I may seem a bit harsh, this is definitely worth watching despite its weak fundamentals. This is definitely for fans of CGI, hip hop, rap, or Kanye west.

Kanye West moment
Art style is pretty nice I think they couldn't do it better. I think everybody should watch it just for Kanye West moment. Story is very interesting and very unique every beginner mangaka should be inspired by this. It's maybe not very realistic. It's also very inspiring when I first watch it I felt like I could do anything. As a manga and hip-hop colaboration it's very good. Kanye west music it's not what I really like but this flying car convinced me to watch whole video, and what can I say except if you ignore the song in the background animation ... is really enjoyable.
In conclusion the song is average but it's our saviour Kanye West so I recommend.

This is a small AMV and even though I am not really fond of Kanye West´s work then I think that this one was still overall enjoyable ^^
The AMV was created for the music and was quite fitting where the lyric was fitting for the most situations in the AMV.

Of course it is hard to not overlook the Kanye West Ego in this one especially when the main protagonist is an "alternative" Kanye West.

The story was non complicated but there was still a plot which still made the whole thing interesting. The visuals are not the best but not bad, above average I think. :) ... And there are hidden Easter eggs here and there ^^

Sometimes when somebody says something controversial, people say that heart-wrenching line but when somebody goes too far, what can you say?

I think that Kanye is the most controversial artist of the decade (not counting actual alleged diddlers n shi”. You shouldn’t support someone who openly supports the mustache man, and you shouldn’t support loli behavior.
The art style was quite a surprise from the people who made berserk but it’s a nice change of pace and the graduation bear seemed like a very funny homage to kanye ... trying to make it out of the mud.
