Synopsis

Arne Neuntöte is a vampire detective who manipulates supernatural powers. Lynn Reinweiß is a nobleman's daughter who loves vampires. Their worlds should never have crossed, but they join hands to solve a bloody mystery. In the darkest of nights, Lynn finds herself in desperate need of help. Then she wanders into the mysterious city of "Lügenberg," where non-humans live.

Lynn's world changes drastically when she encounters "Arne," a vampire who is called "the worst" in the city. And tonight, a new "murder case" has occurred. What is the truth behind the bizarre incidents that take place in a world where humanity and the bizarre intersect?

"Come on, human. You may dance merrily under the crimson moon."

It's an enjoyable ride, but it needed more room to breathe. And if you're in the EN audience, you're definitely missing a few things.

This anime is based on an RPGmaker game title available on Steam, which I bought and played as a bundle (base game + DLC) before I started watching this series. It was actually on my wishlist anyway, since I took note of any paid RPGmaker games now on Steam that were originally available as freeware translated by vgperson. The base game is a single mystery covered in episodes 2-5, leaving the majority of the series as anime-only installments.

And overall, I enjoyed these ...

I don't know how I ended up here. Lol
I was not really interested in watching it, but the OP actually slapped.
I guess I was easily interested, huh? Never knew that.

How did I find this?
YouTube suggested the OP for this anime. I was curious and eager to watch it.

Appealing (Why did I get into the anime?)
I have never watched those retro plots where an overactive girl who loves vampires meets a real vampire. This is my first exposure to that genre.

Preliminary (10/12 eps)
Spoiler
This is an anime that started with a lot of potential, but as it passed, it started loosing itself more and more.

The first thing that kills this anime for me is the fact that they can't decide if it's going to be a consistent storyline, following one single case or if it's going to aim for something more episodic. It kinda feels like they wanted to follow a storyline at first but didn't have enough source material, so they had to improvise (or maybe they simply couldn't decide, so they chose both). Either way, it looks messy e poorly done, since it feels like ...
