Zatsu Tabi: That's Journey

Teenage girls visiting various places throughout Japan, with emphasis on both comedy and slice of life shenanigans. 

CGDCT travel shows where a female cast of characters go places to just enjoy themselves, Yuru Camp more about travelling places to camp whereas Zatsu Tabi more about travelling and discovering places they'd normally never really go to in general. They are different in that Yuru Camp mainly feature high school students and Zatsu Tabi has a mix, you got an aspiring manga artist, there's a student, a professional manga artist too etc. Both shows are very touristy where you learn more about the areas they go to with a male narrator accompanying them and are based on real life places/landmarks but generally exist to give you a relaxing fun time watching. read more 

Zatsu Tabi is about peacefully travelling calming places with beautiful sceneries and experiencing new things while Shuumatsu Train is about four girls travel to find their friend in a surreal version of Earth and most of the time they find themsels in dangerous but somehow funny stuations at every city on the way. 

Protagonist in both series are a mangaka, and lots of slice of life stuff with friends. 

Zatsu Tabi's MC is travelling around Japan with beautiful sceneries and calming atmosphere sooth her exhausted mind while Majo no Tabitabi's MC travelling on a fantasy world sometimes helping others and sometimes fighting with magic because of her envy to a renowned witch who trvalled across the world .  

One is about traveling different cities and troustic spots while one is about hiking different mountains,but with beautiful sceneries and calming atmoshere, they sooth your mind and make you want to travel around and find new experiences. 

Have you ever dreamed of just traveling around Japan for no particular reason? Even in the apocalypse? Then dream no more! Since you will likely never get to do this, you can at least *feel* like you're doing it by watching these two anime about some cute girls deciding to randomly visit different landmarks of Japan because they happen to be able to, even once the world has ended! 

Both shows follow a character where they're unlucky with their careers and along the way, have resolved themselves to go on a journey around Japan. Though one has its unique extremities due to the circumstances, discounting a zombie apocalypse; both shows do a great job at showing the beauty of Japan and it's tourist locale during their travels. Zatsu Tabi is significantly more Iyashikei and showcases Japan in a more mundane way and goes out of its way to go in depth in the psyche of a modern day traveller. If you like shows that dabble on Japan tourism, you'll enjoy both of these shows. 

On Zatsu Tabi, Chika is travelling different places with a soothing atmosphre and beautiful scenery around Japan for inspiration while on Sora yori mo Tooi Basho, Mari is traveling to Antartica while owercoming hardships of travelling to this cold and faraway place. After watching these animes, they make you want to leave your safezone and go on a journey and experience new things despite of circumstances.
