This week's banner (I change them up, see? If they don't quite scroll, they pan as some stars disappear, replaced by others) wishes you a good morning. With coffee. The banner is inspired by Peter @ Coffee Coffee and More Coffee who rarely reviews a movie that I've even heard of. Which I consider quite a feat.

The self-portrait in the sidebar is too small for fine details but I'm drinking some too. I raise my cup to Mads, Fonda, Sigourney and the rest of the guzzlers. I'm drinking from the same Pinocchio coffee cup I've had since the Disney marketing blitz of 1940. The first blog post I wrote while sipping from it was a bloodshot ode to crazy/beautiful Vivien in Waterloo Bridge. I haven't slept since!

Sometimes I think Maleficent isn't such an evil villain. Because, after all, what's so bad about getting some beauty sleep? I could use a good spindle prick right about now. Magical slumber totally attracts me because the natural method doesn't work!

Yeah, so much for the weekly day of rest. It was more like a day of restlessness. And now it's a night of insomnia! Wheeee. This week @ The Film Experience: Hairspray, a few words on Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, The Fabulous Baker Boys and lotsa Pfeiffer (duh) but I'll try to take a break until Stardust for the brave nonpfans who continue to read (god bless ya), and the return of daily 20:07.

I'm going on two straight nights of insomnia. Perhaps the end of Oscar season has been met with a violent jolt of my internal clock versus me? I am never fully awake or asleep Help meeeee

Since I can't think clearly, you do it for me. Time to bring back "Reader Request" Suggest a topic: a film, a scene, an actor, a performance --something specific, it's not a book, it's a blog entry. and finally (sigh) yet another sign that Lindsay Lohan is still clueless about her talent and worth. Even after working with Meryl, Kevin, Lily, and Robert Altman for chrissakes (*double sigh*). Seriously. Why does this girl insist on comparing herself to wasted talents (Britney), striving to look just like lesser talents (any Z-Grade anorexic Hollywood blonde), or partying/ befriending no talent celebs (Paris, Wilmer et al). I love La Lohan but girl must have zero self esteeem. She shoulda just kept working at her acting and been a huge movie star her whole life when all of these flashes in the pan were entirely forgotten.

...is strong enough right now. The Day After Insomnia... it ain't pretty.
