The emotion rarely drops below operatic. On a second-by-second basis, Stranger Things is amazing. The downfall of season five’s release strategy, though, is that it gives you time between episodes to think. Go to Full Review

In its final hours, what was once an epic about growing pains and the end of childhood becomes algorithmic -- as if settling for “compulsively watchable” is more than enough. Go to Full Review

The acting is solid, the set pieces enormous, and it’s the kind of loud, busy show you can safely watch while lowballing people on eBay — the contemporary baseline for entertainment. Go to Full Review

Volume two ends exactly where you’d expect: poised to plunge into one last big battle, with the urgency higher than it’s ever been. Go to Full Review

...despite all its flaws, 'Stranger Things' hasn't lost its heart. There are reconciliations that work, scenes that are deeply moving, and action sequences that remind us why we're still here. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Shahab H 5h Stranger things 5 is absolute cinema.its greatest of whole time.its was full of theories love it my fav show See more Izzy O @IzzyO123 5h This season is getting way too much hate just because people didn’t see the theory they wanted pan out. I was personally bummed about a few things but I still 100% enjoyed the last three episodes. Can’t believe how many people have changed their tune from Ep 4 to Ep 7… get a hobby See more Aaron S @Sands1979 5h Too much hate. This season has been great so far. Lots of tension, thrills and genuinely emotional moments. I have total faith they’ll stick the landing with the last episode. Well done! See more Hannah H @QuantumChaos 5h The Duffer Brothers continue to prove they’re master storytellers and filmmakers. Stranger Things isn’t just a sci-fi horror show, it’s a carefully layered love letter to 80s and 90s cinema. You can feel the influences of Jurassic Park, The Goonies, Gremlins, A Wrinkle in Time, and Alice in Wonderland woven seamlessly into a single, cohesive world rather than copied outright. Every reference serves the story instead of distracting from it. Not every episode needs nonstop fighting or chaos. After four seasons of constant battles, this phase is about payoff. The Duffers are intentionally slowing things down to tie up loose ends, deepen character arcs, and explain the mythology they’ve been building from the start. That isn’t bad writing, it’s disciplined storytelling. This season feels like a thoughtful resolution in progress, trusting the audience to appreciate meaning, closure, and emotional weight over endless action. So excited to watch the finale in theaters. See more Margaret R @maggikarpi 5h Bad writng, sloppy character development. Not enough focus on main cast and too much spotlight for new characters who were not significant until this season. I think coming out scene was nice, although it did feel like a press conference to half of Hawkins which I think made it a bit less special Issues (so many!) Max is not blind anymore Where is Mind Flayer? Lucas knocked out a monster with his bare leg Why did Nancy and Jonathan not die in that scene which was emotional but weirdly written? I was so confused about the message - are they together or not? Plot armour is ridiculous at this point. Eleven does not have spotlight this season at all. Not in volume 2. The revelation about the wormhole - while potentially exciting to some viewers, to me it did not add a single new thing about their plans or actions. The wormhole did not excite me and we still do not fully understand why Vecna is doing everything. A lot of unanswered questions with one episode to explore it all. See more Matthew M @Pupkifu 5h This season so far is fantastic. The acting is top notch and it had me in suspense many times. My boyfriend noticed my heart racing a few times and asked if I was okay. I’m excited for the series finale. See more Read all reviews
