What to Know

Critics Consensus

Genuinely original science-fiction fare from television veteran Vince Gilligan, Pluribus leads Rhea Seehorn through a brave new world with plentiful returns.

Audience Says

Sometimes falling short of its high-concept promise, Pluribus is a supremely original entry from Vince Gilligan whose trademark cinematography remains employed as part of the ensemble.

Carla S @Kikas3 38m It's boring, tiresome, and tedious from the first to the last minute. A story that goes nowhere, with empty dialogue, uncharismatic characters, and a nonexistent script. There's no emotion, it doesn't create involvement. It's just exhausting! The pace is dragging, each episode seems endless, and frustration accumulates until the "non-ending." The series that calls itself "brilliant" is nothing more than pretentious, drawn-out nonsense disguised as boring genius. See more Steph G 48m I'm usually in agreement with RT's audience scores on average, but Plur1bus is an exception. Not one to write long reviews, I'll simply state that the acting, writing, direction and photography all work well. The pacing and dialogue-less sequences are perfect and allow one to ponder such a world. See more Lindsay M @LindsayM87 1h This show was a little slow to start but once it got going, it has been an absolute thrill ride! I’m not particularly patient, so waiting for new episodes is terrible, but wait I must because I just need to know what will happen next. See more Parrish H 1h Often an 8-episode show is purchased, and there is only enough material for 6 episodes. This one has 2 episodes worth of material stretched to 8 or 9 episodes. Unbelievable! See more Kathi W @KathiW76 2h I'm addicted. Human hive mind is terrifying. The story compels me to watch more!!!! I need a white board. See more Kurt M 3h The kind of show critics love for pretentious reasons while ignoring entertainment value. Anyone pointing out the problems they'll say don't 'get it', making the whole thing tedious. Great initial concept failed by poor pacing and characters that were unrelatable and falling much short of compelling. The main character especially was a self insert who would have been better as almost any other background. If this show were two episodes long it would have been a great watch. As is, I'd recommend watching the first episode of the first season then the last episode, or maybe a YouTube recap. You'll get much more out of it in a tenth of the time. See more Read all reviews
