The Orthoscan Mobile DI is the most portable fluoroscopy system in the Orthoscan lineup. At 35 pounds with a 12 by 19 inch footprint, it goes where no other Orthoscan can: patient rooms, satellite clinics, urgent care centers, athletic training facilities, and field environments. Its 6 by 4 inch flat detector delivers 2k by 1.5k resolution across a 15 cm by 12 cm field of view, and a 100 percent duty cycle means no cooldown periods between imaging sequences regardless of case pacing.
The President of Minicarm.com is a co-founder of Orthoscan and our team continues to provide certified-refurbished units, OEM parts, and nationwide on-site service.
Available for sale, lease, or short-term and long-term rent nationwide.

Welcome to Minicarm.com. Today we're going to take a look at the Orthoscan Mobile DI.
Powering On
To turn it on, press the power button. It is tucked underneath the flat detector. While the system moves up and boots, we'll walk through the C-arm articulation.
C-Arm Range
The Mobile DI goes low enough to image a standing foot and high enough to comfortably image the hand. It has good rotational range for covering different projections from a single setup position.
Positioning with the Laser
We are using a hand phantom here. The Mobile DI has a laser crosshair positioned approximately at the center of the field of view, which helps you align the detector to the anatomy before your first exposure.
Acquiring Images
To X-ray, press the button on the two-pad handle or use the foot pedal. Hold the control down for at least a couple of seconds until the image brightens and stabilizes. Between exposures, wait approximately one second to allow the system to process the image and move it to last image hold.
Image Controls
While imaging, you can rotate the image using either the keyboard buttons or the touchscreen. You can tag images using the keyboard or touchscreen. You can also negate the image to invert it to an X-ray appearance, add right and left labels, and save images. Edge enhancement is adjustable from the keyboard. We generally keep it set to low.
Case Review
After imaging, go to the case review screen to manage your study. You can select images individually or select all, and tapping an image opens it for review. From this screen you can print directly or save to the hard drive.
Two-Pad Handle Controls
The two-pad handle allows you to X-ray, rotate the image, save, tag, and adjust technique up or down without going to the keyboard.
Shutting Down
To power off, press the power button and wait for the fans to stop before unplugging from the wall. This allows Windows to shut down properly and protects the system.

The Orthoscan Mobile DI goes more places than any other Orthoscan model, and the service team behind it has to match that range. The President of Minicarm.com is a co-founder of Orthoscan who helped bring the Mobile DI to market. Orthoscan has ended manufacturer support for the Mobile DI, but our team remains the only source for factory-level parts and certified service nationwide. Most service calls are resolved remotely through our 24/7 support line. When on-site repair is needed, a certified technician is dispatched with a target arrival within 24 to 48 hours, regardless of where the unit is deployed.
Every Orthoscan Mobile DI sold by Minicarm.com is rebuilt by Orthoscan-trained technicians. Refurbishment covers flat detector performance, laser alignment calibration, noise suppression verification, mechanical integrity, electrical safety, and full cosmetic restoration. Units are tested in portable configuration before shipping.

The President of Minicarm.com is a co-founder of Orthoscan who helped bring the Mobile DI to market. We know this platform from the inside: how it was designed to perform across diverse care settings, what holds up under heavy portable use, and how to restore it to original factory spec.
Orthoscan has ended manufacturer support for the Mobile DI. Minicarm.com continues to provide OEM parts, certified refurbishment, and nationwide on-site service. Service contracts up to 60 months are available, and we service Mobile DI units regardless of where they were originally purchased.
The Mobile DI and the FD share the same 2k x 1.5k flat detector resolution, but they are built for completely different deployment models. The Mobile DI weighs 35 pounds with a 12 by 19 inch footprint and is designed to move between care settings. The FD is a 400-pound surgical C-arm built for placement in an operating room or procedure suite. If portability and point-of-care flexibility are the priority, the Mobile DI is the right choice. If the primary use is surgical extremity imaging in a fixed setting, the FD is the better fit.
The Orthoscan Mobile DI runs on standard AC power and does not include an internal battery. It requires a standard wall outlet at each location of use. The 30-second startup time and compact power draw make it practical to plug in and image quickly in any clinical space with a standard outlet. If your use case involves locations without reliable AC access, contact us and we can discuss power options and configuration before purchase.
Pricing on certified-refurbished Orthoscan Mobile DI systems is typically $30,000 - $40,000. The price depends on year of manufacture, hours of use, included accessories, and warranty tier. Call (800) 643-2998 or request a quote for current availability and exact pricing.
Yes, provided the location has a Wi-Fi network the unit can connect to. The Mobile DI supports wireless DICOM 3.0 export and is EMR image link capable, so studies can transfer to PACS from any room or facility with network access. In locations without Wi-Fi, images can be exported via USB or wired connection and transferred manually. For facilities with strict network segmentation, contact your IT team about DICOM configuration before deployment.
