Today we're going to look at the Orthoscan UC, also known as the baby blue.
To turn it on, press the power button right here on the side of the machine. It takes about a minute or so to boot up. We're going to show you the articulation of the C-arm.
This machine does not have any wig-wag on it, but it's a nice small compact machine. All right, we're going to show you how to do a little bit of imaging here with our handy dandy hand phantom.
On all mini C-arms, press and hold for three or four seconds to begin with, until you get a nice image like this. And then wait at least a second in between fluoros. This way it allows the machine to process the images properly. You'll see your tagged images down here on this machine.
The X-ray just holds on the foot pedal. Wait until you get a nice image. We're going to image two more times just to fill in our tagged images down here.
You can change your brightness and contrast by pressing these buttons with a plus and a minus. Hit Escape to get out of that. You can zoom your image three times. You can flip it. Negate. You can change your still motion, which is your noise reduction, from two frames to eight frames and 16 frames. Normally we have it at eight frames. You can change your edge.
You can save all. This way, every time you let off the foot pedal, it'll save into the database.
When you're finished imaging, you can go into Case Review. You can see now that they're all saved. You can also choose which ones you'd like to print. The printer is in the back of the machine. You can also send a DICOM if you choose.
Here's your patient info screen. In here you can input the family name, first name, middle name, suffix, birthday, sex, session number, schedule time and date of the surgery, physician's name, procedure description, procedure ID, and your user preferences.
Here's your Recall screen. To choose a case, you can double-click on it. You can also choose which ones you'd like to either save or print by hitting the spacebar. You can also do a DICOM send from here. To get out, just hit the Escape button. If you want to choose another case, just double-click that one.
When you're all finished using the machine, simply press the green power button. Allow it to shut down properly, wait about 10 seconds, you'll hear the fans shut off, and then unplug it from the wall. This allows Windows to shut down properly.
